Catholic Through the Year. . .you can too! {The Official Catholic Through the Year Blog Tour}featured

I think I’ve mentioned that we moved 3,000 miles just a bit! We are here; we are finally down to four boxes unpacked. We are finally in somewhat of a set daily routine. It only took a month! I definitely underestimated the emotional impact of this move for the chickadees which has led to some serious back sliding of behavior. However, consistency in chores, school, and fun activities has really aided in uplifting our sanity during this transition.

What I want to chatter on about today is efficiency. Just typing that word makes me all smiles; I love to be efficient (INTJ here, remember :)). One way, I accomplish running my home and keeping my sanity intact most days is a good ole fashion routine. I like to think that I live in a domestic monastery, so that keeps me centered on scheduling and prioritizing the family’s days. My main goal is to infuse all we do in these walls with holiness which amounts to living the liturgical year or being Catholic Through the Year!

Martina Krietzer foundress of Catholic Sistas has a great way to help us all out with planning out our domestic monastery, the Catholic Through the Year Calendar and keeping it budget friendly, stylish, and not to mention functional thanks to the digital download. You can print out what you want or need at the moment or you could print out the whole kitten caboodle and get it bound!

Along with the calendar, Martina offers a Homeschool Planner, a Blog Planner, and a Home Management Planner.

Catholic Through the Year Calendar comes with a 2015/2016 academic and a 2015 traditional planner. My favorite part of the liturgical planner is the addition of the Extraordinary Form calendar along with the Ordinary Form calendar of the Roman Catholic Church since we mostly attend an Extraordinary Form parish. It is very convenient to have both the old and new snuggled next to each other not to mention, I get the best of both worlds! I can follow along with the universal church in her completion! Another really fun and appreciated part of the calendar is the section on prayer that includes Sacred Scripture, Saint quotes, some Catechism references and a nice selection of common prayers (I’m still attempting to memorize some basic prayers like The Act of Contrition). One page that I keep coming back to is the Proverbs 31 Catholic Woman (pg. 16 of the calendar). Those seemingly simple questions about “everyday you” are really crucial in finding out where I am emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
